Then she [Naomi] said, “Sit still, my daughter, until you [Ruth] know how the matter will turn out; for the man [Boaz] will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day.” Ruth 3:18 Boaz wanted to redeem Ruth from all her financial woes and marry her. However, according to the custom of the day, he could do so only after a relative closer to Ruth gave up his right to redeem Ruth. So Boaz went to the gate of Bethlehem to settle the matter with this relative. When Ruth’s mother-in-law, Naomi, heard what had transpired, she told Ruth to sit still and not be anxious, because Boaz would not rest until he had successfully resolved the matter concerning Ruth that very day. Now, because Boaz is a picture of Jesus, our kinsman Redeemer, the truth here is that when we “sit still” and not be anxious, Jesus goes to work on our behalf! Beloved, what provision challenge are you facing today? Are you having problems with your body? Are you worried about losing your job? Commit the matter to your heavenly Boaz, Jesus, and rest in His ability, His willingness and His favour. When you rest in Him, He will not rest until He has successfully resolved the matter for you!

The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD;
He guides it wherever he pleases. Proverbs 21:1

I asked the Lord to elaborate on what He meant about being King. He reminded me of King David in the Bible. He was anointed as a King at a young age. This position did not come about till later years.

Being a King means that all doors in life are open by the Lord. If you study the life of King David, you will see that he moved positions/jobs at the right time. God enlarged his territory.

There are kings of nations. Many prime ministers and presidents in the nations of the world are actually standing in the office of a king. These political kings hold the positions and power to lead influence and shape the economy, development, and course of entire nations. In a broader sense kings are usually the people at the top---the best the champions, the leaders in their respective fields.

The kingly anointing is an anointing for ruling and reigning. It is an anointing for dominion and for government. It is also an anointing for prevailing. It has strength and might to push back the forces of darkness and take new ground.

Not many can handle such an anointing or hold on securely to the kingly office. King Saul couldn’t. He attained, but could not maintain the position because he did not have the character to contain it. Sadly, many in ministry fall not long after receiving this powerful and authoritative anointing. Therefore God in His wisdom and love will not bestow this kingly anointing on just anyone, nor will He simply bequeath it to the unprepared. The preparations for the ministry of kings are usually extensive and intensive. And it usually involves seasons of breaking and times of brokenness. That’s the main reason why God allowed David to dwell in the caves and wilderness for a rather lengthy season before He elevated David to the palace.

Jesus wore the crown of thorns on His head so that you can have a sound mind free from fears, guilt, depression, anxieties and stress.
Jesus’ feet brought Him to places where there was lack, disease, condemnation and even death. At the cross, those feet were nail-pierced so that you do not need to be in such places yourself. He has rescued you from having to accept and suffer these things in life.
Jesus didn’t have to. He chose to. Why? Because He loves you. He spared not even Himself so that you may have every blessing of health, wholeness and abundant life!

As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you have a right to expect restoration of the things that the devil has stolen from you. It may be your health, marriage or finances, but payback time is definitely coming!
Act3:20-21 tells us that before Jesus comes back for His church, we will experience “the times of restoration of all things”. What a hope it gives us, knowing that God will restore to us all things before Jesus returns!
If the devil is attacking you in any area, tell God, “Father, I will not allow the devil to rob me of my health, marriage, children or finances. These blessings are blood – bought and paid for by Your Son”! Claim your restoration in Christ and heaven will hear you.
There will be such times of restoration of all things to the body of Christ that His people will only get better, stronger, healthier and more prosperous and glorious! When God restores, even under the old covenant, His people always received much more than what they had originally lost, in terms of quality and/or quantity. How much more will our restoration be under the new covenant because of the shed blood of the Lamb of God!
